Tory Council Executive pressed to reveal impact of budget cuts12.00.00pm GMT Sun 1st Feb 2009
The Conservative Executive remains tight-lipped about the extent of their proposed cuts despite consistent questioning and challenging. A further attempt will be made at the Executive meeting on Tuesday 3rd February when Councillor Stephen Cooksey will ask several key questions: 1. Will the appropriate Executive member explain in detail the effect of the proposed cut of £74,000 in the 2009-10 budget for Dorking Halls including how this will effect staffing and programming? 2. Will the appropriate Executive member explain in detail the effect of the proposed cut of £70,000 in the 2009-10 budget for Parks and Open Spaces including how this will effect staffing and the level of service provision? 3. Will the appropriate Executive member explain in detail the effect of the proposed cut of £70,000 in the 2009-10 budget for Leisure Services including how this will effect staffing and the level of service provision? This follows the statement issued last week on behalf of Mole Valley's Liberal Democrat Councillors and which is given at the following address: Related Link:Statement on behalf of Mole Valley Liberal Democrat councillors.
