Margaret Cooksey - Lib Dem leader on Mole Valley DC

Margaret Cooksey has criticised the Tory budget for Mole Valley

The Tories running Mole Valley are making more cuts including the free service that deals with rat problems, some maintenance of sports pitches and some grants for Arts & Leisure. They are also raising charges at Dorking Halls and retaining the evening parking charge.

Liberal Democrat Group Leader Councillor Margaret Cooksey said, "The Liberal Democrats would make different choices, do things better and use resources more effectively. We would ensure that many of the Tory cuts would be reversed and new initiatives introduced without a tax rise this year."

"All of this and more could be achieved by an administration which puts the needs of our residents first and doesn't regard cuts in services as the only way to save money."
