The Mole Valley Employment and Skills Hub ‘continues to deliver an outstanding programme’ [source: DWP Monitoring Report]

As well as its base in the Swan Centre, Leatherhead, the Hub’s outreach comes to locations such as the Harvest Church on Goodwyns and the Christian Centre in Dorking. The Hub matches residents to jobs and supports their pathway into employment, as well as providing a range of other life skills support from advice on Cost of Living to computer skills training. In this coming year, we will be launching a new youth initiative delivering intensive employment and learning support to young people.

Cllr Clayton Wellman said, “I have been delighted to lead this amazing initiative and secure funding for its fourth year. We’ve provided support and connections for residents and local businesses to get on their feet after the pandemic and get through the present cost of living crisis. Also we’ve offered support programmes from English teaching for refugees to a warm space for those most in need.”
