Improve our train service

The local train service is essential for many commuters - especially those working in London - but also provides a valuable service for local residents throughout the day. Apart from helping people reliant on public transport, a good train service reduces traffic congestion and cuts pollution from motor vehicles. An unreliable or infrequent service deters travellers from making train journeys.  

Local train services were cut back following Covid-19 and the frequency has not been restored. At Bookham, for instance, there is a single train per hour in each direction.
