Dorking Bandstand to be built at Meadowbank Park

The Trustees of the proposed Dorking Bandstand are delighted to report that “YourFund Surrey” has agreed to fund a significant portion of the construction costs for the long-planned bandstand in Meadowbank Park.

This generous support, following public donations and the earlier commitment by Mole Valley of “CIL” grant funding, means that construction can finally begin, a full three years after Planning Permission was first granted. 

The bandstand will be built and operated by a fully independent charitable organisation – the Pandemic Community Bandstand CIO – and will provide an accessible public venue for music and other performances. This will include regular summer Sunday afternoon “Music in Meadowbank” free concerts.
