Dorking South & Holmwoods YFS grants

County Councillor Stephen Cooksey has nominated a number of local organisations to receive grants from the £100,000 YFS Small Community Fund that has been made available to him. Some have been fully approved and others are in the process of approval. 

The organisations and projects covered by these grants are:

• Chart Downs Community Centre and Social Club (Disabled access provision)
• Patchwork Garden Project (Weatherproofing facilities)
• Food Float CIC (Market Stall Canopies)
• The Harvest Community Church (Renewal of Projection System)
• St Johns CofE Primary School (Forest School Gazebo project)
• Circular Dorking (a series of projects)
• Holmwoods and Capel Scout Group (Building renovation)
• Dorking Cricket Club (facilities Improvement project)

“All of these organisation play an important part in the local community and I am really pleased to have been able to help with important developments that will enhance their future” said Councillor Cooksey.
