Abhiram Magesh is one of the councillors representing Mickleham, Westcott and Okewood. He currently serves as Chairman of the Liberal Democrat Group on Mole Valley District Council and sits as Vice Chair on the Development Management Committee. 

Alongside his role on the council, Abhiram works in HM Courts & Tribunal Service as a Legal Advisor, having trained in both law and medical sciences.  

Abhiram is passionate about increasing prosperity and the provision of opportunities across Mole Valley. He believes local government works best when it is responsive and rooted in evidence-based policy making alongside the concerns of residents. Whether it is protecting essential services, ensuring development is appropriate and beneficial, or championing investment in community facilities, he works to put people at the heart of decision-making. 

He is particularly focused on supporting local businesses, enriching rural areas and promoting opportunities and investment, from improving public transport to supporting housing and green energy choices. 

Above all, he is committed to representing residents with diligence, openness and empathy — ensuring the voices of Mickleham, Westcott and Okewood are always heard loud and clear.
