East Surrey residents elect Lib Dems to form new Council

In the East Surrey elections on 7th May, electors in 5 of the 6 wards in Mole Valley each elected 2 Liberal Democrat councillors. Click here for full results.  

Across East Surrey, Lib Dems won 40 of the 72 seats giving them control of the new Council which will take over responsibility in April 2027. The Lib Dem successes are shown in yellow on the map. Click here for detailed results.

Elsewhere the Lib Dems also took control of the new West Surrey Council and nationally the party enjoyed a record eighth successive year of gains in local elections.
